Play Pig Dice Game Online Free

Pig is a quick push-your-luck dice game. You need one die, a little patience, and a decision: roll again or keep what you have? Play here against Mina, a computer opponent. The first player to bank 100 points wins.

How to Play Pig

1. Choose Roll Die. A 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 adds to your unbanked turn total.
2. Roll again to build that total, or choose Hold & Bank to add it to your permanent score and pass the turn.
3. If you roll a 1, your unbanked turn total is lost and Mina takes over. Previously banked points are safe.
4. When your banked score plus your turn total reaches 100 or more, hold to win. Reaching 100 without holding does not bank the points automatically.

A Simple Example

You roll 4, then 6, then 3. Your turn total is now 13. Holding adds 13 to your banked score. Rolling again might earn more, but a 1 would lose those 13 points. It would not erase points banked on earlier turns.

Rules Used Here

This is classic single-die Pig with a six-sided die and a target of 100. You play first against one bot. You must earn at least one point this turn before holding. Scores can exceed 100; an exact finish is not required. There are no two-dice doubles, special penalties, betting, or cash prizes.

The roll is generated when you choose Roll Die, not by the decorative motion. Each face has the same chance. The computer uses the same roll generator and cannot see its next roll. You can read another description at Play Online Dice Games' Pig rules.

When Should You Hold in Pig?

Holding around 20 turn points is a simple starting strategy, not a guaranteed best move in every position. Near the finish, hold as soon as you can reach 100. When you are far behind, taking more risk may be reasonable. A fresh roll always has a one-in-six chance of being a 1, regardless of previous rolls.

Mina holds at 20 unbanked points, or earlier when holding would win. Her turns play one visible action at a time so you can follow the rolls. Switching to another tab pauses new bot actions until you return.

Phone, Mouse, and Keyboard Controls

Use the Roll Die and Hold & Bank buttons. On a keyboard, Tab selects a button and Enter or Space activates it. The die has a text label for screen readers, and the action history lists the recent rolls and banked totals. Reduced-motion preferences disable the die's small movement.

Can I play Pig for free without downloading?

Yes. It runs in your browser without a sign-up. This version is single-player against a computer, not online multiplayer.

What happens when I roll a 1?

Only points earned during the current turn disappear. Your banked score stays unchanged, and the other player gets the die.

Do games save?

Finished results use the site's existing score system. A win earns 1,000 game-score points; a loss earns zero. New Game or a reload starts a fresh race. Unfinished races are not saved.
