Play 4 Card Golf Online Free

Four Card Golf is a memory and risk-taking card game, not Golf Solitaire. Play a full nine-hole match against Mina, a computer opponent. Each hole starts with four face-down cards in a square. Improve your layout without forgetting what you put where.

How to Play Four Card Golf

1. Memorize your bottom two cards, then choose Hide Cards & Begin. There is no countdown. The other two cards are unknown.
2. On your turn, draw from the stock or take the face-up discard. Choose one of your four cards to replace. The old card is discarded and the new one stays face down.
3. A stock draw may be discarded instead. If you take the discard, you must keep it and replace a layout card.
4. Think your total is low enough? Knock instead of drawing. Mina gets one final turn before both layouts are revealed. When Mina knocks, you get one final turn.
5. Add the four card values after each hole. Play nine holes; the lower combined total wins. Equal final totals are a draw.

4 Card Golf Scoring

Aces count 1, cards 2 through 10 count their number, Jacks and Queens count 10, and Kings count 0. Pairs do not cancel in this version. For example, K, A, 3, and Q score 14. A pair of Queens still scores 20.

Rules Used on This Table

This is the traditional face-down memory version with a single 52-card deck and two players. The starting player alternates each hole. There are no jokers, power cards, or knocking penalties. If the stock runs out, finish the current turn and score the hole. Cards are freshly shuffled for the next hole.

Simple Strategy

Remember the positions of your low cards. Replace a known high card with a King, Ace, or small number when possible. An unseen card is a risk, not automatically a bad card. Knocking early can catch an opponent with expensive cards, but you might also expose a high card you never saw.

Mina remembers only cards she legally sees, including public discard pickups. She cannot look through the deck or inspect your hidden cards. Her decisions estimate unknown cards instead of reading them.

Playing on Your Phone or Keyboard

Tap a pile, then tap a layout card to replace it. Keyboard users can Tab to any available action and press Enter or Space. Cards cannot be peeked at again after the opening reveal. Use the action list to review public discards and the completed-holes list to follow the score.

Is Four Card Golf free?

Yes. You can play without signing in or downloading anything. This is single-player against a bot, not a multiplayer room or a real-money game.

Does one good hole count as a win?

No. Only the lowest total after all nine holes counts as a match win. A win earns 1,000 game-score points; losses and draws earn zero. Lower hole scores are still better.

Can I resume after leaving?

Not in this version. New Game or reloading starts a fresh match. Completed results use the site's existing account and score system.
