Play Cribbage Online
Cribbage is a two-player race to 121 points where every hand has three parts: discard to the crib, play cards without taking the count over 31, then show each hand with the starter card. This version uses a peg-board score track, full pegging rules, and an automated opponent.
How Cribbage Works
You are dealt six cards. Pick two for the crib, keep four, then the starter card completes the five-card scoring hand. During the play, fifteens, thirty-ones, pairs, triples, four-of-a-kind, runs, Go, and last-card points move the pegs immediately. During the show, fifteens, pairs, runs, flushes, and nobs score, then the dealer scores the crib.
Cribbage Strategy
Keep cards that work together in multiple ways. Fives combine well with tens and face cards, nearby ranks create run chances, and suited cards can produce flush points. When it is not your crib, avoid handing your opponent easy fifteens or paired cards.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the goal in Cribbage?
Reach 121 points before the opponent. Points come from pegging during play and from scoring the hand and crib.
What is the crib?
The crib is a four-card extra hand built from both players' discards. Only the dealer scores it.
Does this version use full pegging?
Yes. The play starts with the pone, cards may not push the count above 31, players must play when able, Go and 31 score immediately, and the next count starts after the last card or 31.
