A thoughtful table for two. Capture matching cards, combine sums and build against Mina in the traditional Cassino card game.

    Learn Cassino in five steps

    1. You and Mina receive four cards each. Four more lie face up on the table. The rest stay in the stock.
    2. Select a hand card, then table cards. A number captures matching numbers and separate sets adding to its value. An ace is 1.
    3. Or build: combine your played card with table cards, keeping a second hand card that can capture the announced number later.
    4. Confirm Capture, Build or Trail. Trailing simply leaves your card on the table. Turns alternate.
    5. After both hands are empty, deal four more each without adding table cards. Play all six deals, score, and start a new round. Reach 21 with the higher score to win.

    Capture sets, not just pairs

An 8 can take an 8, a 5+3 and a 6+2 in one move. Each table card can belong to only one set. You can leave valid captures behind if you prefer. A jack, queen or king can take just one matching face card, never a sum or two matching faces.

    Build now, collect later

With 3 and 8 in hand and a 5 on the table, play the 3 and announce a build of 8. Keep your 8 to collect it. A multiple build might be 5+3 alongside another 8, all captured by one 8. The display shows the number, contents and current owner of each build.

Either player can capture a build at its announced number. You cannot split it or use it as part of a different capture sum. A single build can be raised only by adding a hand card, while retaining a card for the new total. A multiple build's number cannot change. Add matching groups to it instead.

If you were the last to build or add to a build, you cannot trail while it remains yours. You must keep a matching capture card until that build is removed or someone else takes over its construction.

    Round scoring

    CollectionPoints
    Most captured cards3
    Most spades1
    Each ace1
    10 of diamonds, Big Cassino2
    2 of spades, Little Cassino1
Each sweep, clearing the table by capture1

A tie for most cards or spades awards neither player that bonus. The last capturing player receives leftover table cards after the final play; this cleanup is not a sweep. A genuine final-card capture that clears the table does count. Tied match scores at 21 or above require another round.

    A useful first strategy

Look for aces, the 10 of diamonds and the 2 of spades. Combine several capture sets when possible. Be careful with builds: Mina can steal one if she holds the same capturing number. The last capture can earn the remaining table cards.

    Controls and saving

Tap a hand card and any table cards, then confirm your action. Use Clear Selection to reconsider without spending your turn. Hint selects a suggested move but never plays it for you. Tab and Enter work throughout. Progress saves after each move; hidden tabs and restart dialogs pause play. Sound is optional and completed matches can earn account credit when you are signed in.

The game, not a gambling site

Cassino, also spelled Casino, is a traditional card-capture game. This version is two-player Anglo-American Cassino with one-point sweeps. There is no wagering or real-money play.
