What is Penguin Solitaire?
Penguin Solitaire
A skill-forward patience game in the FreeCell family with 7 flippers and a special beak card that sets the foundation starting rank.
The Core Rules (Quick)
- Tableau: Build down by suit (example: 9♣ on 10♣).
- Flippers: 7 single-card holding spots for temporary storage.
- Foundations: Build up by suit starting at the beak rank (wrapping after King).
- Empty columns: Only the rank directly below the beak can start an empty column.
Why It Plays Differently Than FreeCell
- Same-suit building: You must keep suits organized early.
- Beak-driven constraints: The beak controls both foundation starts and empty column fills.
- More cells: 7 flippers gives you flexibility, but you still need to plan sequences.
