Play Buraco Online
Buraco is a Canasta-family game about building both same-rank melds and same-suit sequences. This browser version keeps the table fast and readable: play through your hand, unlock the second hand, and make at least one seven-card Buraco before going out.
How to Play Buraco
Start by drawing from the stock or taking the discard pile when the top card can be used. Meld three or more matching ranks, or build a same-suit run such as 7-8-9 of clubs. After placing useful cards, discard one card to end the turn.
When your hand is empty, your hidden second hand moves into play. You can finish the round only after the second hand is cleared and your table has at least one completed seven-card Buraco.
Buraco Rules
- A meld can be matching ranks or a same-suit sequence.
- Twos and jokers can act as wild cards, but this table allows only one wild card in a Buraco meld.
- A clean seven-card run scores more than a dirty run with a wild card.
- You unlock the second hand after emptying the first hand.
- You need at least one completed seven-card Buraco and no cards left to go out.
Buraco Strategy
Runs are powerful because a clean seven-card sequence gives a larger bonus. Do not spend your only wild card too early if it blocks a cleaner run later. The discard pile can swing a round, but taking it with no clear meld plan usually leaves too many points trapped in hand.
