Tonk (Tunk) Rummy - Play Free Online

Tonk, also known as Tunk, is a popular matching card game often played for stakes. It's similar to Gin Rummy but faster-paced and with unique "Knocking" rules.

The goal is to eliminate your cards by forming checks (melds) or to have the lowest point count when someone stops the game.

Setup

5 cards are dealt to each player. Face cards count as 10, Aces 1, and others face value.

The "Tonk" (Automatic Win)

Immediately after the deal, check your points. If you have 49 or 50 points, you must declare "Tonk" and win instantly!

Turn Structure

1. Knock (Optional): BEFORE drawing, you can "Knock" (spread your hand). If you have the lowest points, you win.
2. Draw: Take a card from the Stock or Discard pile.
3. Spread (Meld): Place valid runs (3+ same suit sequence) or books (3+ same rank) on the table.
4. Hit: You can add cards to ANY spread on the table (yours or opponent's).
5. Discard: End your turn by discarding one card.
