Spite and Malice, also called Cat and Mouse, is a competitive patience-style card game. Each player races to empty a personal goal pile by playing cards to shared center piles.

How to Play Spite and Malice

Center piles build upward from Ace through Queen. Kings are wild. Play your goal pile whenever possible, then use hand cards to open the next needed rank. End your turn by discarding when you cannot improve the center piles.

How to Win

The first player to move every card from their goal pile wins. The best strategy is to prioritize your goal card over hand cards, even when a hand play is tempting.
