Objective

Push-Pin takes the Royal Marriage concept and doubles the challenge! Using two complete decks (104 cards), your goal remains the same: unite the Queen of Hearts with the King of Hearts by eliminating all cards between them.

The name "Push-Pin" reflects how you're essentially pinning cards together and pushing obstacles out of the way.

Setup

  • The Queen of Hearts (Q♥) is placed at the far left
  • Two complete decks (102 remaining cards) are shuffled together and dealt in a row
  • The King of Hearts (K♥) is placed at the far right

With 104 total cards, the playing field is nearly twice as long as Royal Marriage.

Rules

The rules are identical to Royal Marriage:

  • Gap Rule: Select two cards with exactly 1 OR 2 cards between them.
  • Matching Rule: The two cards must share the same Suit OR the same Rank.
  • Removal: The cards BETWEEN your selected pair are removed.
  • Double-Deck Twist: With two decks, you'll encounter duplicate cards - more opportunities!

Strategy Tips

  • Embrace Duplicates: Every card has a twin. If you can't match one, its duplicate might be in a better position.
  • Maximize 2-Card Gaps: Always prefer matches that remove 2 cards over 1-card removals.
  • Scan the Full Row: With 104 cards, take your time scanning for valid pairs.
  • Chain Thinking: Every removal changes the landscape - consider what new pairs it might create.
