Stock

The face-down supply of undealt cards.

Master Card

The 29th card begins face up in the first foundation. Its rank starts all four foundations.

Foundations

Four piles, including the master-card pile, that must receive every card to win.

Tableau

Seven face-up columns containing 1 through 7 cards.

Use these five rules to understand the board and recognize the path to a win.

  1. Read the master cardIts rank starts all four foundations.
  2. Build by matching colorPlace one rank lower on a card of the same color.
  3. Move only suited packetsA multi-card sequence can move only when every card shares one suit.
  4. Deal across the tableauThe stock adds one face-up card to each column.

Build down in the same color

Example 7♦ on 8♥ is legal. 7♣ on 8♥ is not.

Move packets only when they match suit

  1. Check the master rankFind cards that can open the other three foundations.
  2. Build suited packetsOnly same-suit runs can move together.
  3. Use empty columnsAny exposed card or valid suited packet can enter a space in this version.
  4. Play before dealingUse valuable top cards before the next row covers them.
  5. Advance foundations evenlyKeep all four suits moving.
Progress at a glance

Scoring and Move Tracking

Score measures progress. It never changes the rules.

What gets tracked?Each stock row and successful placement counts as a move. There is no redeal, and the score never falls below zero.
