How Mahjong Solitaire Works
Mahjong Solitaire is a solo tile-matching puzzle. A tile can be selected only when it is not covered by another tile and at least one long side is open. Match two free tiles with the same face to remove them.
Mahjong Difficulty Levels
Easy gives unlimited hints, unlimited undo, and shuffle. Standard gives 5 hints and 5 undos. Hard gives only 2 hints and 2 undos, no shuffle, and a higher score bonus for leaderboard clears.
Mahjong Strategy
Start with pairs that open the longest rows or unlock stacked tiles. Avoid removing an easy pair if another matching pair is blocking more of the board. Good Mahjong clears are usually about opening space, not just taking the first match you see.
Solvable Mahjong Boards
Each new board is generated from a known removal path, so the starting layout has a valid way to clear it. You still need to choose smart pairs, because taking matches in the wrong order can block the board later.
